Putin criticizes those responsible for conflicts in Middle East

NEW YORK, Sep. 29 (MNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has slammed those who generated the conflicts in the Middle East.

Addressing the plenary of the UN General Assembly at its 70th session, Russian President Putin criticized some countries for their support for terrorism in the volatile region of Middle East; “I cannot help asking those who have caused this situation: do you realize now what you have done?” asked he rhetorically in an evident allusion to the United States and its allies, and then highlighted that now the culprits do not want to take responsibility.

Putin stressed that the members of the ISIL include Iraqi servicemen, who were thrown out into the street after the invasion of Iraq, and also many recruits come from Libya.

In his first address at the forum since 2005, Putin warned that the terrorist threat can now expand to more regions of the planet, and stressed that to act inconsistently and with double standards, can only exacerbate the problem.

According to Russia’s Putin, the best evidence of the harm caused by this inconsistency are the recent data on arms transfers to the so-called 'moderate' opposition, which then fell into the hands of the ISIL terrorist group.
